Golf Courses
Silly me.!? I ask if Funeral Homes can see the opportunities. Now it’s my turn and my business to see these things.
It turns out that Golf Courses are the perfect fit for both CCF’s and ScatterWays while people are alive and after they pass. After my heart surgery the golf course down the street became my daily destination for walking, jogging and bicycling rehabilitation activities. It also turns out they were/are in the middle of a major renovation of the course.
I watched as they dredged the irrigation collection ponds (and hid all the muck in new contours for the course). I watched as they did major rehabilitation of the sand traps (and hid all the sand/dirt/sod mix in heavy forested sections of the property). I watched as they did major pruning (and dumped all the woodchips in those same heavy forested sections).
It finally dawned on me that golfers never go into these forested maintenance areas around the course. And leisure services walking paths for others in the community avoid them. But they are the perfect Composting Facilities!
A stream runs through the center of the course. It has designated wetland areas necessary for surface water management created when the course itself was first created. Now this is nothing more than a ball grabbing monster. Golfers hit over it on at least 6 of their tee shots. They never retrieve their ball (like they can from the ponds) because of the slope and overgrowth on the sides. This stream is the perfect ScatterWay designated area.
